Yep. It's a terrible old saw, but it's generally pretty true - those who mind don't matter; those who matter don't mind. Any idea how it got out? Basically as I am seeink it, Ray, the problem is that you are not callink your girlfriend for five months. You see, the hot babies like to feel wanted. If you are not callink them on the phone for a while, it is like a way of saying "you are worst song, played on ugliest guitar"

All my friends know and always have known. I mention that I'm sadistic in my profile on FB. Never had a problem. Mind you I don't think I actually know 200+ people in real life. Not actual friends anyway. Be the change you want to see in the world. - Gandhi.

I guess it depends on the way you communicate your interests, and your social surroundings. Nearly everyone I know has a pretty clear idea about the fact that I enjoy tying up girls, and that it's very damn important to me that said girls also enjoy it. That way I've forestalled most questionable rumours. - In addition, I guess I have it easy, with educated, thoughtful, and liberal friends and colleagues, so the idea of consensual play with trust and power makes perfect sense to nearly all of them. In fact, in my current university surroundings, friends (and some relative strangers) joke good naturedly about my penchant for BDSM ("He's the guy to see if you haven't done your essay and need a bit of a spanking"), and I have been known to introduce myself more or less along the lines of "Hi, my name is [insert name here], and I tie up, tease, and pleasure girls for fun". Interestingly, that has never produced a negative response, even from the few US Republicans and other assorted Conservatives we have here. I think my advice is: be proactive, fun, and natural about your communications. If you talk about it like it's something shameful and dirty, people will conclude that you are doing something shameful and dirty. :-:-: Ropework :-:-: Edited 8 Nov 11, 1:49 AM by Ropework

Wish i had the chance to explain it all but people like to play chinese whispers etc. Granted those who removed me i had never met so im not bothered as I would never meet them but they are pretty much making me feel lost now. I think i might need to join the community here more so i can have some one to socialise with that is also understanding the whole thing. The names i've been called is rediculous.

I usually find that people with hundreds of 'friends' on facebook probably only know about 6 of them.

No longer on Fbk. Had a very bad experience as a result of having a profile there. A less public experience than yours, but quite unpleasant even so. I'm with @Grasshopper on this one though. It's almost always the case that those who matter don't mind. |
