I want to say a big thank you to all who sponsored @chatterbox's recent run. You can never know how much I appreciate the generosity.
Soon I shall be partially 'bionic'. I saw the physio last week and she again tested the Functional Electrical Stimulation kit on my right leg. It still did the trick, bypassing the flaw in my nerves, which have forgotten to listen to my brain. In the 9 months since she first tried it, there has been some muscle wastage, but I hope to rebuild that when my walking improves.
I have another appointment this week, and I will hopefully get the full kit. I am annoyed that the PCT refuse to fund what is a quite modest cost, but so grateful for the kindness of those around me who make it possible.
