The wedding of @american_girl & @Beau_Tox.

Travelled down on Friday as I thought it would be better than doing it on Saturday morning. Thank god I did. If I had known where the wedding was I would have got the train. That close to London and driving does not suit me! But I made it ok.

Friday was about finishing the final prep and getting odds and end ready for the push on Saturday morning. Once we had picked Dark Cherry up from the station it was 'Operation Fill Your Tummy'. It was fab to meet AG's family and friends and dinner that evening was a 'fishy' affair.

Saturday morning was just so special. The Bride and Groom had decided on a wedding cake made of cheese. AG had asked DC and I if we could assemble it and make it look 'pretty'. Oh no pressure there then!!!! On the bottom was a HUGE full waxed wheel of Black Bomber. On top of that was a half (full circle) of Stichlton. To top it off were edible flowers draping down from a Goats cheese topped Camembert!

My wedding present, the weirdest one I will ever get someone, was 1.5kg of Gorgonzola Colombo!!! That was then placed on the cake board, to one side, and we set to work bringing it all together. There seemed to be a big gap in the middle of the board, but we had anticipated this, and finished the whole ensemble off with a ribbon tied TUBE OF PRIMULA. BT knew we had this but the look on AG's face when we unveiled the 'cake' that afternoon was just priceless!!

The ceremony itself had tears. Oh yes it did. DC is such a bloody blubberer. She set me off, which then set AG off. Thank god I had bought a Mabelline Waterproof mascara the previous day. It was beautiful to see BT & AM do their vows and readings. Having two wives in the room for one brief moment brought a laughter the congregation. It was not just the bride who had nerves, eh BT? :-D xx

Reception was just so relaxed. The venue was perfect. The friends and family of both sides mixed so well.

As you can imagine there was a lot of cheese there, and my god did we all make an impression in it. I knew that I was going to have a bit of a squiffy tummy when I was scooping Stichlton out in lumps onto Olive bread and squashing it in to eat it. Add to that the glorious spread that BT's sister did and then an awesome evening meal after the wedding party had let off Chinese lanterns in the garden, I over ate. Oh and the venue had casked ciders and beers too, so that was never going to help lol.

I want to say Thank You to both of you for letting me be such a part of your special day. For being allowed to be there to share this with your closest friends and family. To be able to call you Friend and know it means something.

Congratulations to you both.

I can only echo the above sentiment. I was honoured to be a part of it and I have never been in a room with so much love and happiness. It was a great day, hell, a great weekend full of joy and love and laughter and cheese. Doesn't get much better than that.
