Second set of IC.3 updates (60)

• Apart from a few pictures on the welcome page for guests and the pages showing top pictures, you now need to sign-in to see pictures.
• The pictures rating page is no longer used as part of the picture approval process. You can now also see the list of pictures you've recently rated immediately, rather than having to wait an hour. (If you spot a picture violating the AUP, please go to it via that page and use the Report button on that picture's own page.)
• Pictures can be used as profile pictures or embedded in posts etc immediately, without having to wait for approval. However, we ask members not to use "genital closeups" as profile pictures: please report any profile pictures that do.
• The pictures own pages (ie that show the big 600x600 versions) have been redesigned and now include a scrolling view of that members' other pictures.
• The limits has been increased to 999 pictures per profile.
• The raw pictures you upload to IC can be up to 4MB and 4096x4096 pixels in size. This should be able to cope with JPGs produced by a 10 megapixel camera without resizing them yourself.
• For most parts of the site, the text saying "Page: 1 2 3" at the top is now in the centre.
• In non-smartphone, non-IE7 mode, when you receive a memo or a message and the blue strip at the top goes red, it is now also fixed, and doesn't scroll with the rest of the page. If you receive a memo/message while reading a page, the red strip will pop up to make itself really obvious! (IC checks for new memos/messages every minute while you are typing or moving the mouse pointer on a page.)

Facebook-style submission of pictures by email is not yet done, but will hopefully appear this month.

Also I had problems with the screen not fitting on the page after the first set of updates which now seems to be resolved. Has that fix been done as part of this set of updates or was it done before?

This will happen if people are sending you memos then deleting them before you get to them.

"Messages" should go red-on-white like "Memos" does when you you have an unread message. As soon as you see that message on the chat page with that member, it will be reset. There can be minute-long time lags in this happening, because IC only checks once a minute (or immediately if you click on a link to another page.)

Please Oh Wonderful Admin.. in one of the next updates.. would it be possible to have a better search function, where you can more search parameters? For example

• being able to search in your own memoes for memoes exchanged with a specific person or with a specific subject line or containing specific key words (or better still all of the above)?
• being able to search within a specific person's blogs using key words? (for example if you remember that a certain IC member has blogged on something, and you want to find that specific blog)
• being able to search within the blogs/boards using several key words or a specific phrase or including other parameters like a date?
