I log into Fetlife
I moan about how I dislike the layout of the website.
I read threads.
I moan about some of the stuff that's posted.
I might post / generally not worth the bother.
I log out.
Why do I keep logging in there?

Don't do it. I don't I only ever go when someone from here sends me a friend request on there. Ugh shudder, that hideous layout, the hideous background, all those garish colours. Yuck Do you have to be the ice queen intellectual OR the slut-whore? Isn't there some way to be both? | ||

Because they make it hard to delete your profile. However you can kill your profile so you cannot get at it. 1) In Notepad or TextEdit type multiple random characters. Copy them. 2) Quite Notepad/TextEdit. 3) In Fetlife go to the Change Settings bit and select the Change Password tab. 4) Put in your normal password. 5) Paste the random characters into both New Passwords boxes. 6) Click Update. 7) Logout. Voila you have a profile you cannot get at, without having to admit you have fucked up. I have the perfect accent for conflict resolution, shame about the personality. | ||

I hate it with a passion but too many of my mates use it. And then I get the "Did you SEE what X said about Y last night?" type comments and I don't have a foooking clue what's going on. So I use it but I wish I didn't need to. As an aside, over 80% of our punters from the last FSSC came via IC, not Fetlife. Not huffy or stuffy, nor tiny or tall,

So you ask for a password reminder and it goes to the e-mail address that you have registered on IC..... retrieve password then log back in to 'Janie O' I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. |
