"An escort girl and a dominatrix who were stalked by their clients left notes criticising police as part of an online suicide pact, an inquest heard today. Riley Lison-Taylor, 33, and Jaime Perlman, 37, were found dead in a fume-filled rented flat just five days after they met on the internet." I'm more interested in why the use of a suicide site for people to buddy-up on hasn't had much weight in the reporting, whether or not psychiatric services were involved with either lady and if there will be any changes in how stalking can be dealt with.

Strange that the coroner Dr Shirley Radcliffe should say this a distressing case of 2 women in their 30's who were fit and healthy found dead...ffs !! fit an healthy !! clearly mental health does'nt rate highly in her world. Fit and healthy people in my opinion are not usually found dead and don't usually top themselves. Yours is not to reason why, yours is but to do or cry. Edited 2 Nov 11, 8:43 AM by xAdamx

The 'fit and healthy' bit is a frequent phrase used by coroners (I used to cover coroners' court as a reporter) and only refers to their physical well-being. i.e. there was no physical reason for their death. It was in the next paragraph that she would probably have moved on to describe their state of mind. Flogher - I cane, I whip, I cuddle

Not only terribly sad but makes one aware that even someone perhaps better equipped than many, ie those whose experiences must often be some kind of occupational hazard , is not immune to it all becoming just too much to handle. Fitz. Escaped from the parallel universe

This is very sad indeed, lets hope the police investigate the handling of these Ladies harrassment by the officers involved. Sounds like they were just looked on as trash. Everyone in this country has the right to the protection of the law.

This is just awful. Feel so sad about it. Those poor women! I feel disgusted with the police and legal system and how it was all handled. They should be ashamed of themselves but they probably dont give a damn. Makes me sick! As for the men involved..the clients...scum!!! |
