Just wandering through the neighbourhood and thought I'd say 'hi'... (10)

...Anyone remember me? My last weblog was waaaaayyyyy back in September, I see. So I thought I'd say hello to any friends still out there and catch up a bit. So often when people disappear off IC it's because some dreadful personal crisis has brought their BDSM/scene-related life to a screeching halt. With me -- with us, rather -- that's certainly not the case.

Matou and I are still together, still living happily in Coventry with the fur people (who all send their respective tail wags and purrs to anyone who knows them!). In my last posts I was whinging on about job hunting. No more; I am now gainfully employed. I started temporary work in October, then was offered a permanent position by the same firm (different branch, though) which started 13th December. Matou took a new job which actually started the same day, 13/12, as mine ... he's working in Birmingham in a position which puts his considerable programming and developmental talents to far better use than his previous job did. My job is fine too ... not exactly what I was looking for originally (and certainly not as high-paid as I had hoped for), but I like my boss a great deal, it's an easy commute and my workmates are pleasant enough (if not necessarily the sharpest tools in the shed, but never mind). With both of us starting new jobs and having somewhat more hectic schedules than previously, though, spending time on the computer has become a much lower priority. When we get home from work we tend to want to spend time with each other, rather than online (not that you all aren't a charming and scintillating bunch, but, well, you know ...!). I barely even check my email these days, I'm afraid ... Matou has to tell me if anyone has written to me. So apologies to anyone I have neglected -- I promise to try to change my ways!

As our many friends know, we are still active in the Midlands scene, helping out and participating in demos at the BBB and 'meeting/greeting'-DMing at Velvet Eden (an event that remains for us a highlight of every month -- thanks to the wonderful Blue Velvet and cerbie, VE has gone from strength to strength and is fast becoming the premier BDSM/fetish night in the Midlands ... at least in our humble opinions!). Small newsflash: apparently we're going to be helping out at the discussion/workshop/demo at the BBB this Sunday, so if you're there come and say hello.

And ... Matou and I remain absolutely besotted by and with each other. The D/s part of our relationship has always been its foundation, and even though we're busier in our 'vanilla' lives now and the D/s may not be so apparent to the casual onlooker, it's never far from the surface. All it takes is one word or one look from Matou and I know exactly who and what I am: *his* submissive, his property ... and his beloved. It's wonderful. And I am still convinced that I am the luckiest submissive in the world to belong to him.

Yes, yes, I know, I'm incredibly tedious when I go on like this. So rather than bore you all silly as I witter on and on I shall say goodbye (for now at least).

But not before saying to Matou:

Yay, welcome back! We definitely missed your weblogs and I hope you can persuade Matou to pop in every now and then too

Yup, and was wondering where you had disappeared to. Glad that you are gainfully employed and happy.
