Has the WAC fixed it for you? (31)

Hello WAC people on the day before the first birthday of the wonderful Wide Awake Club.

Are you excited?

Have you gained from being here these just-1-or-up-to-364 days?

What has the WAC meant to you over this past year?

Did it bring you new friends? Has it supported you in dark times? Have you had people to share the joys of your lives with?

Dunno about you but it's done all those for me over this last year. :)

With much gratitude to our founder @The_White_Tiger (still think of him as @TheSilverFox), to our weekday stalwart @The_TOGmeister and to everyone who has made a post on this very special collection of blogs.

Have a think and maybe write your thoughts on the WAC to post tomorrow...

To help you on your way there is a really substantial breakfast laid out including eggs to your preference, bacon, sausages, sossidges (for K9s and dragons), black pudding, white pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns and condiments to suit. Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and bucks fizz if you're a bit delicate after a Saturday night on the town and needing a hairy dog =-o

Also, pancakes with your topping of choice and you have muffins, crumpets, toast, brioche, pain chocolat. There's plenty of fresh fruit - take your pick from orange, grapefruit, apples, figs, grapes and nanananananas.

On the board are cheeses from all corners of the globe from Abbeye de Belloc to Zanetti Parmigiano Reggiano (yeah ok, I looked it up!)

Cold meats for those protein hungry peeps.

All accompanied by teas, coffees, tisanes, juices and waters from across the globe.

Now sit down, relax, enjoy and muse on how great life is - even if it has a few downs at times, after all, without downs how can we appreciate the highs?

Happy WACaday Sunday and think on what Jimmy could have fixed for you? Now then. Now then. Now then...;)

(ps - no turnips, sorry @Richtea)!

Morning all. And thank you Caracal for such a wonderful spread. Some coffee and brioche sounds just lovely.

Have to be up early today to get some work finished - but at least I got an extra hour's sleep. Did those of you who were out partying get more partying or more sleep?!

Will get my thinking cap on about what the WAC has done for me - certainly been instrumental regarding new friends...

I *really* wanted Jim to fix it for me to dive with Jacques Cousteau - doubt if that is going to happen now, as both are now dead, sadly, but it was a wonderful dream when you are ten.

Morning all. Thanks to the Cat Lady for opening up the WAC breakfast table seems to be groaning with comestibles.

I'm going for some fruit and coffee to wash the tablets down. Then I'm going to explain to my brain that the clocks went back,,

Have a good day all :-D

No matter how you try you just can't fix stupid!

Sounds a wonderful spread as you say, though I half expected maple syrup to put in an appearance as well :-)

Has everyone remembered to turn their clocks back? Another hour in bed.

I think I'll start at one side of the table and work my way across it :-) Thanks to the Cat Lady :-)

I did hop up on Their bed at my usual time, only to be rather unceremoniously pushed off =-o Something about the falling-over hour, which fortunately missed all of us. Come to that, I'm not sure I'd know what an hour looks like. Some of you who've read my blogs, will know I measure time in "dinners". Don't really need anything else...

She's off watching hairy horseys jump over big logs and things, He's got a long list of jobs that have to be done. I think He might be in trubble if they aren't all done by the time She gets back =-o

Meanwhile, I'll be keeping an eye on Him from the sofa in the conserverterry

wags to all :-)

Good morning all.

Thanks @caracal for a veritable feast of comestibles. Just what the doctor ordered for this rather dull morning.

Fellow members or the WAC bring cheer and jollity every morning with small glimpses of their everyday lives. Humour is always a strong point and an atmosphere of friendliness abounds. I was lucky enough to meet up with @fluffysub through WAC and hope to meet others whilst on my travels through this fair country of ours. WAC is very special and I am pleased to be able to contribute when I can.

I hope everyone has a lovely day.

(Have to go, I have just been summoned to take family to a car boot.)

It is a year and three days since I moved out of the marital home... 52 weeks to the day since I went to my first munch... WAC has, along with a select few people, been an absolute constant over this last period.

Amongst other themes, I have been able to discuss canine behaviour and draguns, and the joys of golf and the enjoyment of tunes from the golden age of popular music...

It has almost been worth having shite sleeping patterns, and I haven't missed a breakfast...!!

Happy Birthday WAC.

Very many thanks to @Caracal, yes the table looks great, gonna start with tea, then cereal, and a Full English....:)

Taking up the thread, I have found WAC to be a lighthearted way to start the day, I love to follow the antics of @RosieSBT, and of course @Fluffy with her canine escapades!:)

Big thanks to all who have contributed and here's to a successful second year! (@Jenevieve, my cake didnt turn up in the post...:(
