According to newspaper sources Jimmy Saville has died today aged 84.
Sadly missed.
But did anyone get a badge off him

No badge but, i did at the tender age of 14 write in to ask if my boyfriend at the time could meet his idols showaddywaddy .

I have a Jim'll Fix It Badge Soap-on-a-rope. Or, in this case, on a red ribbon. Though that doesn't really count. I wrote asking to meet Ritchie Sambora from Bon Jovi. I never heard anything back. Your voice, it chased away all the sanity in me. | |

He used charity to promote his career. Many have done it since but he was the pioneer. |
