Hola, After a successful pro-subbing session @ The Facility in Birmingham, I've been thinking about doing some more work in this field. I have premises from which to work, but what are the best ways of advertising and networking? Some say parties and clubs, others say via the spanking world (be a spankee first), and then there's listing personal ads and using websites like this, CM and FL. Could any of the professionals on this site offer some helpful tips and pointers to me? Many thanks, beauvoir | ||

The marketing is easier than the emotional burden: are you ready to make your passion into a commercial activity? It's hard to keep barriers in place: when you are a model, you can stay all cool and professional; when you're an artist, you can keep your soul locked away and paint for the punters; when you pro-sub, can you keep your submission locked away and provide a realistic service, or will you let your real passion shine through? If you do, will it survive the rigors of commercialization? They're not all nice people that will come your way. Can you cope with bullies and sadistic bastards as well as doms? Can you retain the upper hand despite a) your own desire to submit, and b) being tied up and gagged at the time? If you can, put up a site, do your linking and advertising and let your passion shine through as much as you dare let it.

You would be best to work at a premises that pro Dommes operate from. Once you have a website you can list it on Mistress Directories I think. You also have to be very clear about not providing sex, there seems to be quite a few pro subs in London that offer that. Many won't let themselves be tied up, I think that's a good idea.I know who you are as I know some friends of yours. You're very beautiful with a great figure, this would count in your favour. The fact you seem to be a true masochist will also help. I've heard that clients don't like their sub to be marked which means you can't work as regularly. It's good to have clear boundaries about what you will and won't do and a safe word obviously. If they don't respect the safe word then stop the session. I said that most pro subs won't let themselves be tied up. If I am playing with someone who is gagged I give them a safe signal rather than a word.

Then I suspect they are more along the lines of CP then pro-sub. It's one of the things I was asked for most when I was pro-subbing. I found it bloody hard work being a pro sub, as someone has already mentioned, it's the mental aspects that are the hard part, if you want any help or tips, or someone to chat to, drop me a line x
