Or at least people who are drunk and abusive at 3 in the afternoon.
Walking back home from the train station, a family of drunks, all equipped with can of Speshul Broo, pass in the opposite direction. Ones asks, 'scuse, you got a smoke?' I reply simply, 'No', whereupon he upbraids me for having no manners along the lines of 'You, come on, no...what,', making some kind of gesture of impatience. I'm puzzled, and tired and reply 'just get on with your stuff, kid'. And he turns reluctantly away and walks on. Was I rude? Does not a simple 'No' suffice in these circumstances? Would not many have just ignored him and walked on?

All part of lifes rich tapestry im affraid and i can see it will become more common due to funding cuts to charities dealing with the homeless and those with a myriad of social problems.Alcohol free zones and asbos and dispersal orders just dont work. | |

What, more expensive ales, I mean £2.20 for a pint of ale is bloody expensive in a pub as it is, the damn cola is even more expensive. Don't get me started on the price of a bottle in a supermarket (ASDA from £1.59)
Might be better, as a munch organiser to go onto tap water. But on a personal level as an ex alcofrolic, I NEVER accosted anybody for anything when I was inebriated. I just fell asleep where I was, be it up a ladder or in a chair. There is a fine line between sanity and insanity. I have a foot firmly planted either side of that line |
