| Ermm, with tongue in cheek, there were plenty of references in the news item to trying out the whip on the reporter. I had visions, over my cornflakes, of ,lots of peeps from here offering advice..
Otherwise no connection between whipping actual horses and BDSM. Human ponies maybe.

I have a lot to do with racing and people should get rid of this ridiculous notion that because horses were bred for racing they can be treated any old way.
Horses were not meant to live in stables, but out in the fields, grazing and socialising with their own kind. I know plenty of trainers and those I do know treat their horses beautifully. It's what happens after their racing days are over that worries me. Some are lucky enough to be retrained. Others are put on lorries to France for meat. Others are simply left in fields to rot.
By the nature of their training they are usually not happy hackers when they come out of racing and it takes a lot of knowledge, money, care and compassion to re-home an ex-racer.
I disagree I know a trainer and have worked in a racing yard horses are not ment to be broken before they are 2 years old and they are only treated like royality when they are winning when they are not they are soon pushed out the door or forgotten about!... I had a horse that was a flat racer he had a racing plate put into the windpipe so that the air would flow quicker and in turn he would run faster the lasting effect was that he DID NOT run any faster and they got rid of him anyway! he could not neigh and when eating he kept putting his head in and out so that he could swollow the food he had a scar from where the plate had been NO LIFE for an animal you say should be kept out in the fields grazing and socialising .......
it has been for along time now that x racers are rehomed to an organisation that can re school them but the damage that is done due to greed is something that NEVER can be repaired even after rehomming its a cruel sport and those who have a flutter should be ashamed of themselves.

Horse Whips in the news
Hohoho, BBC1 news this morning was discussing the use of horse whips in racing, with a few jibes about trying out the whip on the hapless reporter to see if it hurt!
It makes me wonder if "our" pony club members will be affected by the current ruling that a "horse" can't be whipped more than 7 times in a flat race?
|
This really does not effect human ponies etc. I will still be able to use my carriage whips etc as I see fit. http://empressm7.uboot.com/ http://www.socialkink.com/empressmartine Vampire, pro/lifestyle ts dom/switch.Ageplay mummy/aunty/AB,medical play, domestic, energy, outdoor specialist."Welcome to Downturn Abbey. You will not be staying long. I agree. Many animal organisations have been trying to get the whip banned for years. This is a step in the right direction but still not enough in my view.
When a horse or any other animal can sign a consent form that it needs to be whipped......then I will shut up.
|
But horses can sign consent forms to be locked up in a tiny stable overnight and for hours at a time. And they sign consent forms to having people dumped on their backs too do they?
Oh hang on, these things don't count so long as you luff your pohnee... I'm evil.

No ... they're wussy things. The old style horse whips are MUCH more fun *UPDATE* Model(s) for "how to" bondage photographs (and other bondage photographs) have now been found. Thank you to all who showed interest.

If you're going down this line, do pigs sign consent forms to be slaughtered and made into prime, back bacon? To be honest there are lots of things we do to lots of animals that are a great deal worse than giving a horse a flick with a riding whip. *UPDATE* Model(s) for "how to" bondage photographs (and other bondage photographs) have now been found. I disagree. I rarely ride without a stick, especially a horse I don't know- I'd rather nip bad behaviour in the bud with one good crack from my stick than wind up with a horse that's a pain in the arse to ride. A well-mannered animal has a much better chance of a good home when its sold on than an unmannerly one. A boss mare in the herd will nip another horse to curb transgressive behaviour, and an occasional smack from a whip can be used the same way by a rider/handler.
