Not often one gets a bargain at your local Tesco, that's why they make so much money every year!
I must commend two however at the moment.
Wolf Blass Chardonnay Semillon 2010 and Albali Tempranillo.
The Wolf Blass is dry, crisp and slightly citrusy. I served it the other night with baked Hake and corizo crushed potato . Simply fabulous! The Tempranillo is a beautifully rounded young wine, with not a trace of harshness ,and does'nt bite at the palate the way its oaked brother(Rioja) does.
Perfect with a pink peppercorned roast or something as basic as spaghetti bolognese.
Both cheap as chips at £4 a bottle!
Enjoy....
