I certain old friend and I met for lunch last week 
I cannot express my gratitude and admiration for his style and panache, I felt every inch a lady, in every sense!
We arranged at a time I directed, he cleared his diary in order to ensure I had his exclusive attention, he was a PERFECT gentleman throughout, he was entertaining and witty, careful and courteous.
The thing is, he actually KNOWS who he is.
He doesn't lie. He has gone beyond fantasy and lives in the real world.
He is completely honest about who he is and what he wants.
I have also had another old friend approach me, for remote... hmmmnn...mmyyyy..... and a long time contact has suddenly showered me with a simple gift that has made an actual huge difference to my life this month! Totally out of the blue!
At a time when I find myself low and down, having felt massively let down in so many ways recently, I find the faith that old friends have in me, to tap into that well in me, that power....? I find it does give me some faith back.
I would hardly describe any of them as "sub" (for TOTALLY different reasons!) but I love them and appreciate for who and what they are and their honesty above all else. And they give back. That is the key thing. They give back.
