EH6 4DN
We are now 12 weeks from a certain time of year and as such it is the best time to get advance cheap tickets for train travel to/away from family. Come and blow your rail based savings at the Edinburgh Munch.

There is no need to dress up, normal clothes will do, its just an evening down the pub, nothing more. All this fun happens at The Village, South Fort Street, EH6 4DN, any time between 8pm and midnight. If you put 17 South Fort Street Edinburgh into Google Maps you will get a photo of the door you enter, you may have to scroll left or right a bit. There is lots of free parking at the venue and various buses run past the end of South Fort Street along Ferry Road.

We have the Lounge of the pub all to ourselves. If you come in the main door on the left of the pub, go through the reddish door in front of you and we will be there waiting for you. If you haven't been before there will be someone to welcome you whenever you arrive. If you go through the side door walk past the bar, out the door and immediately turn right through that door. There will be a sign with Private Function (LAF) on the Lounge door.

I have the perfect accent for conflict resolution, shame about the personality.

We're always twelve weeks from a certain time of year. The time of year changes though, from week to week.

Purely in the interests of stirring things, the statement can essentially be proven both true and false depending on what we understand the terms to be defined as.

For example, if by context we took "from" to mean "before", assume the "certain time" is not fixed, and do not assume we can use another year - as it has not been included in the original statement - then we can disprove immediately by counter-example. A suitable counter example would be midnight on the 30th December, there is no datetime in that year that falls twelve weeks after it.

For the statement to hold true then we must either assume "from" is bi-directional, in that we can choose "before" or "after", or that we can use the following year.

In any instance, the convention in logic/maths would be to take the "certain point" to be fixed, e.g for any x in X, some condition holds. We can change x but to test the condition we hold it fixed. In which case we are exactly twelve weeks from it for one infinitesimally small time point, assuming we are not taking position into account. If we take spacial position and indeed velocity into consideration then things get somewhat more tricky; I would imagine we could abuse the humble Lorentz-transform to create a surface in velocity-position-time space that is exactly 12 weeks from the "certain time" (for fixed position), although I will leave such a problem for the reader if she/he is so masochistically inclined and indeed remembers more physics than I do.

Anyway, if I haven't had my fingers broken before Thursday, we're hoping to come along to the munch :-)

Boo, really want to come but transport problems mean I can't.

Have fun y'all.

I'm loud and I'm vulgar, and I wear the pants in the house because somebody's got to, but I am not a monster. I'm not.
