I know what you're saying Andrew' , and I can quite see why you've resorted to plate-throwing, but take comfort from the many posts of commiseration.

It's not just that the 'un-nameable one' is rude to so many people, but that the material would be slanderous in a public environment and is often deeply offensive in this one.

Having also been on the receiving end, it's reassuring to know that one isn't a special case but just one of many.

I have to say though, that the site policy should consider an instance where full time anti-social behaviour from one person rather defeats the object of IC being a community where like-minded people get together for a chat and to have a good time.

It doesn't stop me using or enjoying the site but it's a little like getting into the car and finding a dog-turd on the bottom your shoe.

'like minded people' you are being funny right ?

Appeals for courtesy and accusations of deliberate offensiveness are more credible when they come from someone who tries hard not to offend. Comparing someone (or perhaps her posts) to a "dog turd" (http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/posts/316439/7#... or asking "who lit the fuse on your tampax ... you scabby twatted sorry excuse for a female member of the human race" (http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/posts/314233/) (to take just two examples) rather undermine any appeal for courtesy and the avoidance of rude or offensive material.

Not everyone who has taken sides has been deliberately offensive of course.

You can block someone from memoing you, and from posting on your weblogs. But you can't block them entirely from your view of IC; they can still post visibly to all on main boards or in chatrooms.

You can block then from chat so that you do not see what they are saying in the chat room. However if you feel compelled to find out what they said it is visible by reading the room logs.

...

Thanks for the clarification.

The blog about the scabby twatted one wasn't in reference to her at all, it was the unknown person with a profile that was deleted following sending me the one and only memo from it that accused me of being no better than the Nazi guards in concentration camps for my racism and also stated that I am only fixated with my grandaughter because I am GROOMING her!

I have no idea who was behind it and it was in no way shape or form directed at anyone specific.

Oh - in that case apologies. In the context it appeared to be aimed at the same person. That's the problem of all these unnamed allusions ...

Might be better to stick to facts, provide names and provide links, like Bhonanza did here http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/posts/314557/2#... .

May i just make a point here please ~ i have never made an offensive remark about the said person yet she and her so called "friends" at the time verbally attacked me in the chatroom and out of the three only she received no comeback from it. Is that fair?

xx

Of course it's not fair, welcome to the wonderful one man band that is informed consent.

As someone's tag line on here once stated, all for one and fuck the rest.

Oh and for the record, I believe up to now I've had 4 bans/timeouts/censorship's since I've been on here. All for similar things, sticking up for mysef. Tell em its your new fetish, it way work. Failing that do what I, and hundreds of other are doing, and vote with your feet.

As they're, sorry, he's fond of telling us, it's only a website.

It's fine. Admin has used loopholes to achieve this end in the past. Let someone be enough of a problem and a tenuous reason for a forever ban can be found.

It's just whether or not they are choosing to look for one at the moment.

I'm evil.
