I'm sure some of you remember the crumble crumble debate? Well yesterday I had some crumble crumble from a family sized pack. As i'm not a complete pig(honest i'm not that much of a pig) I only had half. The intention was to have the other half today.
Anyway the crumble didn't turn out right at all even though I followed the instructions(well except the bit about the fruit base) it came out soft and powdery and not at all like crumble.
Today I had a brain wave ...put it under the grill and make it more crumble like. I have bright ideas like this sometimes 
. So under the grill it goes and the next thing I know is there are flames comming from the grill and the room is filling with smoke 
. My crumble is now a sold piece of charcol in water and I just had custard on it's own.
