What, on the receiving end, is it like to be 'left' for an hour or more in Bondage. I'm particularly interested if it becomes boring and unsexualised, and what contributes to keeping it kinky rather than just dull. Also - any observations from the dominants on behaviour of subs as the minutes tick by?

I am sometimes tied securely and left, abandoned, for an hour or more. He went to sleep watching tv once. I could hear him snoring. It was three hours before he woke and came to me!!!
It is highly erotic as I am completely at his mercy. When he comes back to me I know that I am to be used or abused by him. I do not know which or when. The anticipation is such a turn on! There have been times when the tie has been uncomfortable and caused me to suffer. This makes the time go so slowly and makes the waiting torture both physically and mentally. The beauty of really good bondage is that perceptions alter. For the first half hour, perhaps, perceptions are normal, but then, progressively, the restrained body becomes less demanding of normal comforts and the mind begins to take over. It's not always like this, of course, cramp tends to make itself heard whatever mental plane you may be on, and limbs losing sensation can be disruptive, too, but of you do not suffer these trials, time stands still. Boredom is not even an appropriate question.

Naturally everyone has their own perceptions of what prolonged bondage is, and it will I think be a different experience for each individual. Personally, I have been in prolonged bondage many times, indeed I spent three hours hogtied yesterday, though I have done 24 hours non stop many times in the past (my longest is 30 hours). For a few hours I am trying imagine what will happen, what I want to happen, the thing is when bound, blindfolded, gagged and with earplugs thinking is all you can actually do. On longer sessions yes, the erotic nature does subside at times, but it always returns as soon as the Dom does as well, and loosing all track of time is really great as I always feel, well lost I suppose, waiting on what does actually happen next. Falling asleep has happened to me as well, how great it is to wake up to find yourself all bound up, for the first few seconds I get a real high then the mind goes into overdrive, as I never know how long I have slept. For the record, I am never left gagged overnight, I always have an emergency buzzer and have just acquired a IP camera so I can be looked at all the time, and the Dom never leaves the house with me bound, those are just basic rules for prolonged bondage

I fully agree with the quote. Seemingly, things ought to be boring and unexciting but in reality, because one can't move or control the environment or status of one's being, and providing it is comfortable (no strain or cramps), little or no distracting noise or sights, one's mind starts detaching from everyday things and the whole body enters into a pleasing, floaty state. Not sure if it is endorphins as produced as many experience when receiving impact play or an entirely different chemical reaction in the brain that produces the altered state. Whatever, I think it is great! To reach the floaty state without added sexual stimulation is great but I find that I experience enhanced climactic response when 'taken in hand' after a period. One point I am concerned about is whether the Binder (as opposed to the bondee) gets much pleasure from having an inert object unable to react or respond to their will. Several hours without touching, yet keeping a wary eye for signs of distress must be difficult. I guess doing something else in the same room is possible (e.g. watching a film or playing patience) yet does it not detract from the 'Binder's' play scene scenario. In other words, what does the Dom/me, Top or whatever get out of prolonged bondage?

I was once collared (steel), handcuffed and handcuffed around my ankles. Then I was put into a cage, which incidentally, was in Madams shed at the end of her garden adjacent to the alleyway between the three storey victorian town houses, my handcuffs were padlocked to the front of the collar and also to the bars of the cage. It was pointed out to me that any noise that I made would be heard by passers by, the cage was locked, the shed was locked, Madam went back to her house to eat her evening meal, I was left there for two and a half hours. I was reasonably comfortable lying in the cage but I was terrified in case I was found out by someone else or that Madam might leave me there all night. Needless to say I was very quiet. It's been a few years now, but I know well how good this feels, waking up and wondering for a few seconds what is happening. It is a tremendous high. I need to do this again, soon.
