I have to say, I think this has absolutely nothing to do with BDSM and while is a lovely event, should not be being advertised in the BDSM Events section... Admin says: The bottom line is don't call people cunts

Whilst directly it may seem to have nothing to do with BDSM, there is still the cross over from BDSM in the dressing up in latex, leather, pvc etc which is or can be considered a fetish and therefore connected with BDSM. As is burlesque and other events that I cant think of at the moment.
Many people who have an interest in BDSM also have an interest in such fetishes, being an obvious overlap of the two and that the event will be of interest to a ection of people on IC, in my personal opinion a valid entry in the BDSM events section.....and who knows what people will have under their clothing - ropes, clamps, butt-plugs or other forms of control
I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

I have been there several times with BDSM/fetish friends.
I had a great time each time, and meet lot of subs (and various Ds couples).
I enjoy toying with few people while dancing, and most importantly I have introduced to feminisation several male subs, as much as I have introduced to fetish wear several female sub at these events. One of the best PANSEXUAL 'dress-up' parties in town! ... and so near to my home too. The Magic Theatre is ALWAYS in my diary. M.E. My Favorite STEAMPUNK KINK Event of the year

Is this the Magic Theatre for madmen only (as mentioned here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steppenwolf_%28nove... )?

Yes it is...the book is about a guy struggling with feeling both wolf and man. The Magic Theatre in Hesse's book is a surreal place where Harry begins to explore all that he is. We wanted to do something fun that allows people to do that, so The Magic Theatre seemed pretty spot on as a name for the event. And cheers - it's fantastic to know people have a great time! That's one of my favourite books. The Diceman, by Luke Rhinehart (http://www.lukerhinehart.net/) seems to have a similar theme, in that it suggests that a man (or a woman) is a myriad of different personalities, all rolled into one. |
