Just stay with them and be empathic to their needs. Sometimes suicidal ideation is a cry for help but If they are listened to without judgement and you are patient with them you will have done all you can. SOS

If you can get them to ring the samaritans they can be of great benefit,or perhaps if you can get a phone number somehow then pass that to the ambulance/police they will do the rest. | ||

Granted, the O/P went on to give more information that the friend is 'getting their affairs in order'. That is what some people do before suicide. Not 999 perhaps but if there is no way of knowing who/where they are, the police are the ones to hand the information to so that they can make the judgement call re tracing them and intervention. |
