I fell in love with computers themselves again thanks to him. What an outstanding life: Apple, then seeing the potential of Xerox PARC's work and building the Lisa and the Mac, NeXT, PIXAR, then Apple again, and the flood of changes to our lives flowing from his return.

Jobs was a inspiration in his time. He brought technology to the masses. May he rest in peace. SOS The Titter group - for when you don't feel too serious. |

Sad day indeed. All though it has never penetrated the buiness market , Apple and jobs has reinvented how home computing/entertainment will be now , and that is a legacy to proud of. "Litany, a poncy show-off with wit, a camera, and his own teeth *swoon*"

He is being compared to the likes of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison in terms of his impact, which is probably right, so broad and far-reaching has his impact been (even on non-Apple products and non-Apple users). He is also being described as the (or certainly one of the) most successful business leaders worldwide ever, having brought Apple from being in the red to currently being one of the most successful companies ever. He was visionary enough to set Apple up to withstand his departure, the question is whether Apple can develop something beyond next generation versions of the iPod, iTunes, iPad and iMac without him. Only time will tell. There's a somebody I'm longing to see, I hope that he turns out to be, someone to watch over me |

Very sad yes. He was so young too. Just goes to show that no matter how rich or brilliant we are, it means nothing without our health. c xx Like the moon, come out from behind the clouds! Shine. |

I design gear for the iPhones and iPods and I've had the pleasure of visiting there factories in China and Cupratino and I simply wouldn't have a job without there products. We've lost a man with the potential vision to change the world and he did but the foundations have been laid...rest well Steve and watch in wonder as the world follows your legacy.
