The Warehouse is an afternoon peer workshop for BDSM
activities that normally require outdoor space. The aim of
the event is to encourage sharing of ideas and techniques,
and be somewhere people can try things out.
We have the use of three large spaces at Exodus:
- The Main Hall (25x20m)
- The Side Hall (20x16m)
- The Gym (12x6m) for singletails including whip cracking.
The Main and Side Halls will each have half of a pony carting circuit of almost 75m in length with 35m straights. The middle of each hall will be available for groundwork: pony and puppy roleplay, use of lunge reins, and other 'on-foot' activities.
In addition, the photographic studio is set up for
pictures, and the tea room has hot and cold drinks
provided by Exodus.
Please obey the following rules at all times:
- Do not touch anyone or anyone's property without
their permission. Ensure you have consent for any
activity.
- Think about the risks before starting any activity.
We're dealing with some fast moving carts, ponies, and
whips this afternoon so think about how things might go
wrong and how to avoid that. You must take full
responsibility for assessing your own risks to participate
in this event.
- No photography except in dedicated studio areas.
Please do not bring cameras into the Main Hall, Side Hall,
or Gym, or use mobile phones in these three rooms. (If
your phone rings or you get a text, please leave to answer
it.)
- Some people will be in pony headspace during the
afternoon and it will be frustrating for both of you if
you insist on engaging them in conversation. If in doubt,
talk to other people they're with first and try to gauge
the pony's level of interaction. Equally, some people
will just be pulling carts, so don't talk past them if
they do join in!
- Part of the aim of the afternoon is to share ideas,
so it is ok to ask people questions about what
they're doing. We encourage people with equipment to let
other people try it out, whilst enjoying the afternoon
themselves and the opportunity to use these indoor spaces.
- There is no guarantee of play at this event, so if
you are coming without equipment and someone to use it
with (for example, a pony and a cart) then we encourage
you to try to make arrangements with someone else before
the day of the event.
- There is no dress code other than no genital nudity.
Previously there have been a wide variety from street clothes to horse riding outfits and pony costumes.
- There is another event at Exodus in the evening, so
please help with the clean-up by removing all of your own
rubbish when you leave.
- You're welcome to post about the day online
afterwards, but please don't disclose details of what
other people were doing without getting their permission
first, especially if you include names.
(I'm starting this as a thread to encourage feedback about
the rules and guidelines. I'll make a reply and update
this OP if the rules changes as a result
On the day,
there will be a handout with this text and a floor plan
etc to help things run smoothly. :T: )
