So following my weblog You save yourself or remain unsaved I had my probation review on the Wednesday. To say it was a bit fraught is an understatement.
It ended with me having my probation extended, me telling my manager we would never get on and me questioning the extension reasons. It then continued on with HER manager, who is the GM, calling me in for another meeting an hour later. He then CHANGED the reason for the extension to me taking on a different role. Supposedly it is company policy!? He then mentioned my resignation and then the fireworks started. I told him I was sick of being poked with a stick etc. I also said to him I would never get on with her. He knows she had me doing stuff that was not needed for my role and so on and so forth.
Now after being so blunt I was expecting my P45...
It currently stands, after the Regional Manager for my dept coming to talk to me the next day, that have I accepted to stay in the role for 3 months, that I no longer report to the 'jack russell' and I now report straight to the GM. I can run the programme how I want and he is waiting for me to prove the 'jack russell' wrong how she wanted me to do stuff.
On top of that the Regional told me of another place needing my skills...
I secured THAT role an hour ago.

A bitch? Hell yeah, you are.  Blessed/lucky? Maybe, maybe not, but in this case you were simply in the right. Good for you for standing up for yourself. AND for getting the Jack Russell outta your way.
