Not that it's now in the Top Pics but where for instance would my current profile pic be placed (me & 2 females)

On the "doing away with" as I said before the rating is a bye product of transferring the tedious task of approving photos from Admin to members

Impossible to answer, but you'd speculate that people with viewpoints of male, straight, female, lesbian, dom and sub would all rate your image highly as it contains facets which they'd empathise strongly with. People who are rating from a gay viewpoint would probably not see much in that image resonating with their idea of what a 'good' photo is so it might not appear in their top-20 images at all.

Given that at the moment male, female and straight defines the viewpoint of Top Pictures as it currently stands the chance for gay people to have a completely different set of 20 pictures included in Top Pictures representing their viewpoint of the world would improve membership representation on the site and diversity of image in Top Pictures as a whole.

Well as Admin is asking for suggestions. Let's expand on this.

Limit each profile to five pictures in the approval/rating system. Once approved (unless specified), those pictures become eligable for rating. Want to upload another picture, you have to remove one from the rating system.

Clover, as you know I'm a great admirer of your (and Dave's } work, have worked with you a few times and defended you a few months ago in the Kinky Camera Group when some pro togs who somehow, on a BDSM site, felt bondage not a suitable subject to photograph and wanted to raise the IC standards to those of "twoo togs"

However. As you probably appreciate, in the Top Pics are sometimes identical photos submitted by Dave, you and/or cloverpics or by another tog and you or, in at least one instance (I can't be arsed to look now but they were alongside each other at one time) Dave, possibly absentmindedly , submitted 2 identical photos himself

As the current system doesn't have , say best model, tog,rigger categories and most of the photos say who the rigger/model/photographer are , it WOULD appear that either Dave or yourself don't consult each other on uploading photos or there is a private contest between you both as to whose version gets higher

How about having different % 's as the selection criteria, so one month its 99-95%, then say 95-90%, then 85-90, down to say 75 %...making up sufficient numbers each time. That way we'd get to see a greater range of pics from a greater range of authors.

At the moment there is no way to find out who is taking well-thought of pics but never quite makes the headlines.

Would mean adjusting the number of "Top Photos" if you did that, for instance I have a number of photos (as I assume others have) scoring 99%yet currently "knocked out" of the Top 200 (I don't obviously know the range designated 99% though at one time there were also 98& photos in the top pics)

I was thinking any time a person wanted a new pic rated they just remove one of the 3 already being rated.

Another option is to manage the score of each photo so that when it has say 50 votes it gets reduced to zero and has to re-enter the rating system from scratch.. so top photos would have a shorter exposure time than now and then automatically dissappear for a while.

That would give us some turnover of good pics.

Rope bondage is not every ones cup of tea. I would never expect it to be and not everyone will want to see it. I am not forcing it down peoples throats, but clearly some one must like the images for them to be in top images.

Obviously it was a mistake, that Dave uploaded two of the same image, I have done it myself before and realised at a later date and taken one down, as Dave did in this case when he realised. Even though both images had 99% and no one had mentioned it until now.

If I model or create an image, I upload it if I wish. I am sure WykD_Dave does the same, like you do and your models. The people I work with put as much effort into creating images as I do and therefore should be allowed to display it.

I am not going to tell a model/photographer they can not display an image because I wish to. To be honest I have no idea what images Dave has on his profile.

The issue is not with us, its with the rating system.

You are correct, we don't consult each other about what were uploading. I don't see why we should. Do you consult your models?

Lol, no there is no contest. I rarely come onto IC.

On a side note, you have 188 images between your three profiles, I have less then one hundred on my two profiles. I have kept my images under the amount allowed for one person.
