I have no idea. In truth neither has anyone else unless they were there. Not all the evidence will have been submitted (if there justice system is anything like ours) and probably the papers have not reported all the evidence that was submitted. Sweetiejar

When a neighbours husband was accused of rape they where my words to his wife when she asked what i thought i said " I wasnt there but one of them has to live with the knowledge that they have ruined the others life" People have big mouths to talk with, but when it comes right down to it, they don't have shit to back it up!

Very hard to say.....conflicting evidence from forensic teams,so called botched gathering of said evidence. I guess if a case cannot be proven beyond all reasonable doubt then it is unsafe. I feel sorry for Meredith Kercher's family. Interesting how two good looking clean cut well off people were acquitted and the poor Ivory coast black guy, Rudy Guede, was not.

The Justice Systems around the World are all tarred with the same brush. My experiences are only limited to the Prosecution aspect in the UK I hasten to add. However, my views and loyalties were often pushed and I now have very tarnished thoughts on the whole process. I think what tipped me over the edge was a comment made by a lawyer friend who said that the legal system was "a game".

Dont know, but two things; Firstly, how can the evidence be so differential in such a short space of time between trials Secondly Rudy Ghede's in prison. He admitted being there at the murder but claimed he didnt commit the killing. Sollecito and Know were also there. One of three must be lying. My thoughts tonight would be with the Kercher Family and not the acquitted

What we do know is there must have been enough doubt cast by evidence to say that in the eyes of the law she didnt commit a crime.

What we do know is that there was so much hype and bullshit surrounding the case - including (we're told) a prosecutors belief that the murder was connected to the activities of a satanic sect, dating back to the Middle Ages! Look out Kennedy and Jack the Ripper - another rival for the lucrative true-crime-blockbuster-bestseller market here. BDSM: Boring, Dumb, Sad, Motherfuckers.

The thing with the tory press is that once they decide the innocence or guilt of someone that's it. No matter how much evidence there is to prove them wrong they stick to their original view. These are also the people who want to bring back hanging which is a scary thought. |
