Isnt it about time that our community was recognised in soaps? Obviously no "scenes" or "play" would be shown, but the everyday lives of a d/s couple would bring in more viewers for the ad companies which could help with the economy. More importantly it could make good viewing, interesting story lines and recognition of the lifestyle.

So...what do you reckon?

I guess sooner or later someone's going to say it, so it might as well be me.

BDSM in soaps? Aren't such things torture enough anyway??

So cool it hurts...

That has not got me thinking who would be Dom or sub and what might the scenario be....but surely there has to be something better to be thinking about on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon *sigh*

BDSM offers the scriptwriter FAR too many "tempting" possibilities for "nasty" story lines that portray BDSM as vile and dangerous. I most certainly would not trust the average soap scriptwriter to portray BDSM in a positive way.

*UPDATE* Model(s) for "how to" bondage photographs (and other bondage photographs) have now been found. Thank you to all who showed interest.

BDSM isn't considered family viewing, which soaps are aimed at. I also wouldn't call a few thousand people on a website or a few people down a munch a community any more than I would call club chess players a community. It is a disparate group of people with a vague common interest.

Rohypnol means never having to say "Would you like another coffee?".
Religion: It makes good people do bad things.

What's the basis for that assertion?

the problem is,,,

Soaps are Torture ( as stated previous )

killing maiming people is fine,,,

but never NEVER show anything natural like sex ever let alone bdsm theme to a soap,,

so basicly it's all fucked up

Fair point I guess, but the intro story line could be just that and then gradually over time it could be portrayed that we are really quite the opposite. So another reason ti intriduce it?

So the perception could be changed in a soap?
