First of all a bit of context. I moved into my current flat 18 months ago. 17 months ago my neighbours fell out with me because I said this bloke called Merlin is a dick. Which he is. And I don't see the fuss. It was my opinion. You could call my closest friend a cunt and I'd say 'fair enough'. There'd be some truth in that. Anyway.
Was at the tram stop when some posh bearded bloke started talking to me. Then he says 'you don't fancy some free cinema do you?' I'm thinking Christ I'm being chatted up. Then he explains he puts on free film showings. I said "You don't know a bloke called Merlin do you?" He said "I am Merlin". Oops. Least I didn't say 'you don't know that twat Merlin do you?'.
In retrospect, he's not a dick. He's very nice, just incredibly irritating. You wouldn't tire of burning cigarettes into his ear. His film thing does look alright. Which is rather irritating.
I do realise I am an anti-social twat. And I don't get away with it in a Charlie Brooker/Jerry Sadowitz sort of way. Bugger. Maybe I should ch-ch-change. Or not. Peep.
