As it's nearer Christmas we'll be heading to the Buffet@preston for a meal beforehand around 7pm - see this thread here if you would like to join us there! We'll be invading our usual corner near the pool table, just on the right as soon as you enter the pub from the main entrance. (Look for the A-Z on the table) There is a large Pay and Display car park nearby, and is a short walk from both the train and bus stations. If you would like a meet and greet just drop us a memo through the profile. Look forward to seeing you there!

Any chance the Buffet could be a bit later..perhaps 7 instead of 6? We missed it last year and would love to join in but simply can't make it for 6.

Chinese Buffet on Fishergate I agree with Jules 6:00pm is far too early as people have to get home from work and get changed, showered etc. also there is still rush hour traffic about. Is worth a thought, the main problem is that there'll be no-one at the Black Bull for 8pm if people just turn up based on the standard pattern (2nd Wednesday 8pm), as not everyone checks the websites before showing. Unless of course someone wants to volunteer to be there at 8 that doesn't fancy Chinese? I imagine we'd be out of the Chinese by 9:30

I'm up for this, will try and get there with Fiona. I agree that six is too early, seven is more like it. You've just got to hope that anyone planning to come will check it out here or FetLife and realize what's happening rather than just pitch up at the pub at eight. |
