for the October munch:
Looking for alternative venues to the Gatehouse.
Ideally the venue should have somewhere decent close by to go and eat at afterwards.
Particularly welcome ideas east London, but Suggestions welcome for anywhere reasonably close to central London.

My suggestion is the pub on the park in Hackney, but not sure there is anywhere close to go to eat afterwards.

The LFF is moving back to Shillibeers http://www.theuniontavern.co.uk/shillibeers/inde... next month. I have never been there but it seems to be well liked. Parking is easy, it's only just over a mile from Kings Cross and has good tube/bus links. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=n79ef&hl=en&gl=u... Close enough (10 minutes drive) to Chutneys, the Indian veggie restaurant that some Jmunchers enjoyed last month.

Aside from the fact that Pub in the Park do food, there are plenty of restaurants just across the park on Broadway Market, or there are lovely Turkish and Vietnamese offerings on Mare Street. Just so you know! -K ...everything worth knowing leaves bruises... | |

Just to confirm that the decision is to try Shillibeers. http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/posts/314863/ We'll decide on the day whether to eat there or go to Chutneys (which was very popular last time).
