I was just perusing the boards when I came across a post, What is Art?
It's a question that has always fascinated me - having vaguely concluded that art is just something that the senses are drawn to... and like much in this world that it is also comparative, subjective and transitory.
I then speculated that flies are drawn to the ultra-violet light in a bug-zapper...
Soooooooo
Could it be - and yes this is REALLY weird - that Art draws us to it for a purpose beyond our comprehension... perhaps using us to replicate patterns like a kind of DNA?
Opinions please.

The Sistine Chapel is art, pouring a can of paint on a canvas anit, a chair in an empty room anit or a pile of 100 dollar bills done by a Sydney-based artist Denis Beaubois's work 'Currency' (how creative) was snapped up at the Deutscher and Hackett's auction house. End of. |
