While no psychologist, I think it all boils down to need. Both submissive and dominants have a role they need to fulfil within their sexual nature. Some may develop it through nurture, while it will be implicit in the nature of others. Some may even be a mixture of both. Proper head doctors would probably be able to explain the psychological imperatives that lead someone to having submissive tendencies with either some qualitative or quantitative data, and categorise people based on x,y, and z that went on in their childhood and plop you in to some group. Or maybe they wouldn't. I'll just stick with my answer, that it is needed.

am i right in thinking this film you are referring to is a russian based true story with keira knightley ? if it is i think it has been discussed elsewhere here recently but nevertheless the scenes / stills that i ve seen are so hot !!! can't vouch for the rest of the film but anybody that gets to spank keira is one lucky guy !!! i ll be sure to join the queue !!! and yes i ll be amongst the first to get it on blu ray when it comes out  | ||||||

I did a university assignment on sexual deviance, there is very little academic research into the topic though so it makes it rather difficult to study. Mind I did mine from an anthropological perspective. | ||||||
