Maybe talking out of line here PD clients can be very privacy orientated While I get that you haven't named names I have a concern that possible clients will see this kind of thread and shy away from possibly seeing you - because you might be perceived as someone who talks easily May well be wrong = but just my take on it from a long history of seeing PDs

It was certainly an elaborate excuse. People use excuses to save themselves embarrassment but I would far rather they said they were too nervous to continue, because that's easy to deal with. I've had to talk a few in from somewhere nearby, offering 'just coffee and chat' to ease the tension. But always still get your money up front, even if it's a twenty to cover the quick chat. If you don't, word will spread that you can be taken for a ride. learn quickly! I learned the hard way. Possibly, the catsuit worked against you if he was over-nervous. But equally possibly, he was always a time waster and nothing you could do would alter that. But it is part of the job, and it will happen. You can only avoid it by asking for deposits up front, but you'll lose most of your good clients too if you try this. Better simply to be amused at the excuses. I do get sick of 'my Mother just died' or 'she's been taken in to hospital' as late cancellation excuses though, guys. It wears a bit thin. 'I've just wrapped myself and my motorbike around a tree' was better, and 'I've just been arrested' was even better still. Elle Edited 28 Aug 11, 10:46 AM by Elle_in_France

I had one once who turned up and wanted heavy corpral punishment,no problem since I have a wide selection of canes including a show cane and a dragon cane. He then noticed I did not have any benches and walk out but the strange thing was he never mentioned that was what he wanted as well as the heavy cp!I often wonder if such individuals think I am a mind reader! http://empressm7.uboot.com/ http://www.socialkink.com/empressmartine Vampire, pro/lifestyle ts dom/switch.Ageplay mummy/aunty/AB,medical play, domestic, energy, outdoor specialist."Awsome! So what do you use? I ask because surely anyone who does heavy CP has a bench of some sort? To be honest, I'm not surprised he left! I had the brother of one client phone me up the day after the client's bike accident cancelling his appt from his text messages, the client then phoned 2 weeks after rather scared as to what I'd told his little brother the appt was for. (He didn't actually ask anyway!)

I was far more worried about your posts when clients ask you to be tied and gagged when they arrive for your safety. I always set a 15 minute chat and cuppa before the session to put clients at ease first and to show them my implements and to discuss limits. I've had a 3 in total finish a session early, one because I was too young (I found that quite flattering!) who since apologised and asked to book again, one because I didn't cane him hard enough despite him jumping off the bench and squealing (who since apologised and asked to book again) and one doing an outdoor session at the Boudoir who was nervous when he heard the workmen in next door's garden. I did a discount to all. Never had someone walk out, a few no shows on the day. I guess the only thing you can do is if they ask to go out to visit the car is ask them for the session money first before they go out to the car and tell them you've had someone pretend to out and then did a runner and see what they say. They may just be nervous and then you can use your people skills to chat and relax them so they don't run away!

You are absolutely correct Lisal. Nothing out of line in what you say at all. An indiscreet PD, is a liability to clients & fellow PDs.

Over the years I have had a few “runners” One who lost his nerve and left and then phoned to apologise and asked if I would see him again I said OK and he did turn up and had a good time and then came a few more times, A couple did the “I have forgotten something in my car” and legged it. Only one walked in, took one look at me and said something like “your not for me” and walked out, which is a bit of a knock to a “girls” confidence, But as I said only a few which in percentage terms is nothing
