someone asked me today if I know what its like to be on the receiving end of some sadistic nut who takes pleasure in seeing people suffer and I was able to answer yes I did as I have been a sub to someone and I do a lot of road race cycling so I know how much people are willing to hurt themselves in order to win some silly race.
Do people here think it makes for a better sadistic nut if you have been on the receiving end yourself? Edited Wed 24 Aug 11, 5:11 PM by DrElectro

No. I really can't follow that line of reasoning. "If no sexual offence is being committed it seems very odd indeed that there should be an offence for having an image of something which was not an offence," Lord Wallace of Tankerness

Doesn't make much sense. I've a lot of cycling and it's really painful in terms of fatigue. I've cycled up and down mountains in unbeareable heat but it's what i enjoy, the pain is all part of the enjoyment. I don't think i'd enjoy the activity so much if there wasn't the pain. Otherwise i'd ride a motorbike. Same applies when i take punishment from a Mistress. I enjoy it. Maybe i'm just too much of a masochist.

It makes sence in that it adds to the bond between the Dom and sub if the dom understands suffering, In my humble opinion anyway.
I think there is a fair bit of masocism in cycling and it is part of the attraction.

I'll ignore the cycling issue (cos I'm hopeless on a bike) but answer the other part of the OP .... I am a bit of a 'player' and personally prefer it if the Dom I play with has 'tasted' his implements of torture and torment on himself, or been on the receiving end of them, before he tries them out on a sub ... In that way he would have SOME idea of how they are best used and what degree of pain etc they can deliver! Purely my own personal POV! Nil Carborundum Illegitimo

It only really annoys me when a dominant says 'what are you moaning for its easy' or along those lines when it is something they haven't actually experienced, other than that though I don't really get it.

Totally disagree with the idea a dom has to try it out first before trying it out on a sub.
Any good dominant is not going to weigh in with a new toy without building it first and being aware of the subs body language.
If its a toy like a bull whip then of course they are going to practise how to hold/use it but it doesn't mean that it has to be tried on them first to understand that it can cause pain or damage if used incorrectly.
So no you don't have to experience pain to become a good dominant, but you do have to understand body language and be able to listen and communicate with your sub/play partner. Don't make them a priority, when they only make you an option... |
