I believe I have saved two trees from Murder. It's a shame I could not save ten of it's brothers and sisters.
Workmen are putting finishing touches to a new Youth Centre opposite me. I went to the planning meeting some months ago to protest primarily that this structure, according to plans, was going to result in the demise of twelve mature trees. I didn't know the Council could just cut down mature trees like this, but you better believe it.
But, to cut a long story short, two of the trees have not been cut down- the ones I look out on. And I'm thinking maybe somebody at the Planning Dept. actually thought for a moment and gave a stay of execution. It'd be nice to think that somebody went 'Don't piss this bastard off too much, he put up a good show at the planning meeting (and who told him about this anyway?)' But I'm not that hopeful.

Yeah you! Two is better than none! I hate seeing trees cut down. I don't see why they can't build around them.
