They are usually a minimum 6ft6in. and the signage displayed in advance warning drivers of large vehicles so as to find an alternative route,you must have a large vehicle.Give me width restrictions over speed humps/cushions any day as they not only cause damage they slow the response of ambulances and once they have a patient on board can cause further harm to them. | |

I drive a Land Rover Freelander, the restriction as you say is 2M just 5mm narrower I found out after!!! SOS

Ouch,sorry about the paintwork.It would be an idea for the manafaturer to have a sign inside the vehicle displaying its dimensions,it wouldnt cost much. | |

I was taught to drive through gateways by looking ahead rather than at the gateposts. I think the same principle might apply here, despite the very low tolerances involved. But I still think down-sizing your vehicule might solve your problem at the same time as being a service to the wider community, the environment, etc. regards C. |
