There has been a bit of local excitement up here in the last week, viz Brad Pitt is in Glasgow to film World War Z, which is substituting Glasgow for Philadelphia. As he was in town I have had lunch with* him twice in the last week. Today's morsels were cheese rolls consumed while they were filming a bit of the film which involved him driving back and forwards along Wholeflats Road at the Grangemouth Refinery.
Fuck me, filming is tedious. Hours of bugger all happening, interspersed with hints of excitement that something may happen, followed by yet more waiting, with a burst of mild excitement when it actually happens. Though my telling of the story in person will make Lord Lucan turning up on Shergar seem as interesting as the inside of a table tennis ball.
