Possession and Enchantment (45)

For me, enchantment is that emotion that can either apply to one person, or an environment, for example a newbie entering the scene can get that' child in a sweetie shop' feeling and get totally swept away by its charms. Enchantment is awe, wonderment and childhood fascination all wrapped up into one. However like all things magical it has its dangers.

Possession for me, apart from certain satanical connotations, implies an element of focussed ownership, more so than enchantment.

An interesting discussion around terms of reference.

Ummmm. That was interesting. What dangers? That one will want to live in an enchanted world all the time? Or that one can't? Or does the danger lie in finding the real world slightly less viable and 'real', in comparrison?

....well..one reads blogs posted on here re relationship breakdowns or non starts etc, so some people get hurt or disappointed, hey. A danger perhaps.

Does an element of enchantment bring them together or attract them in the first place I wonder...? Possibly.

To put a slant on this – my other half once asked me what a Shaman was …...

I explained as best I could – a fairly comprehensive answer to those who would understand this stuff (and utterly incomprehensible to those without sight)

After which – she asked “So, are you a Shaman then” ?

I replied “That's up to you to decide” …....

.

As for …...

both are Occult, and bad, activities, the former meaning that an alien spirit has taken residence in you (usually Demonic as Angels don't do that sort of thing) shunting your soul out of the way, the second that a spell has been placed on you. That too is bad because it's to coerce you against your will.

We each follow our own path – and some have more shadows than others ............. try not to cast your own

Ever wondered who the devil comes to for ideas ?

I like them both.

Enchantment is bright light and soft blackness, musty woods and dancing in the firelight.

Possession - whether thought of me possess them & they only exist for me....or I possess them and.....

It all works for me, really. :-D
