Check with the school before having any visible tattoo's, many places really don't like them. The ideal is the bdsm symbol http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/th... I have a version of this on my right ankle.

One of my tattoos is just above my left breast.
That's quite a handy place as it's clearly visible over a corset etc but very easy to hide unless I am wearing strapless or very thin straps You wanted all of me, I freely gave it. Look after me, cherish me, love me.

Not sure of the design but the bdsm symbol is perhaps a bit of an obvious choice but I guess it keeps it simple if you do decide to pick it. Location wise if working in a school dont have it on your wrist. It needs to be somewhere no one can see it when clothed. Maybe hip, thigh, just above cunt, bum? I would say ankle but thats too visible and I can see why you wanted it on your wrist as it seems like a good location for a tiny design so its a shame you cant really risk it in your profession. The only thing with the larger areas of flesh is it risks looking a bit lost if its to be small. Perhaps a chat with the tattoo artist might help decide as they can advise and give you a more informed choice. But really you need to do some research on designs before going to the artist as they'll want to see it and know the size of it before they can tell you where they think would be the best place for it. And be aware that the fleshier places hurt the least and the places on the bone are more tender, although tbh, I really enjoyed the feeling of getting one done but then I dont have many boney areas, lol....roll on the next one! Good Luck!

If you already have a tat on your wrist and they are fine with it then go ahead. I think the breast is also a great idea...why didnt I think of that?

The BDSM triskelllion as suggested is good, because it is basically a Celtic design and anyone who is 'suspicious' tell them it's ancient Celtic art. I have a four inch diameter one on the top of my right arm. Best advice I ever got from an ex boss was after my first tattoo. He said 'Don't have tattoos where they cannot be hidden'. I love tattoos and have quite a few, but those who have heads/necks/hands tattooed maybe are not thinking of the future.

Don't want to judge here but if you are new to the scene why do you want a symbol put in a very visable position that can never be removed? Personally I like my tattoos to be designed around me, as someone else said here with the trisk it can look very celtic (mine does) and no one ever asks about it really its just a pretty symbol. The symbol I was talking about is the one I actually linked to in the post where I mentioned them.

If I wanted one done,it would be somewhere very discreet anyway. But if the tattoo is small could you not cover it with foundation? or am I being very naive ? Defiled is my name full sore Through cruel spite and false report That I may say for evermore Fairwell to joy, adieu comfort For wrongfully ye judge of me Unto my fame a mortal wound Say what ye list, it may not be Ye seek for that shall not be found.. You can get special foundation that will cover a tattoo, regular foundation doesn't work too well, but it doesn't really seem to be a concern of the OP anyway. |
