I've never had children so will never experience the loss of one. I can never imagine that pain but the added pain of not knowing what happened or where your child's body is, to me is incomprehensible and a living nightmare.

I was the same age as Suzy so the story has always remained fresh in my mind. The strength of her family was immense, to carry on and to live as positively as they did. So I thought I'd just give Mrs Lamplugh a mention on the date of her own death.

Defiled is my name full sore Through cruel spite and false report That I may say for evermore Fairwell to joy, adieu comfort For wrongfully ye judge of me Unto my fame a mortal wound Say what ye list, it may not be Ye seek for that shall not be found.. Anne Boleyn ......circa 1503-1536

The surname is one that those of our age will never forget.

It is not what you say or do but the way you say or do it
Those 3 words are said too much, but they're not enough

Yes.If the scrote who was convicted of killing her had one ounce of humanity in his rotten soul he would do the decent thing and tell them what he did with her body.

I also attended a seminar - so sad she never got to lay Suzy to rest. RIP both.

I didn't realise they had caught her killer.

I'm gonna close my eyes and count to 10 and when I open them again, everything will make sense to me then

Ahh that's right.....John Cannan was strongly suspected but always denied it and was never charged.
