The last time I set fire to my kitchen I still had the remains of a perfectly cooked breakfast in the middle of the water-logged char. It's what microwaves were made for.

That story is so scary, I've now changed my mind about switching.

I have never produced such a fantastic looking fried egg before.

There should be a law that when certain types of people have access to a kitchen unsupervised there should be a fire blanket and fire extinguisher installed and they should ave to go on a training course to use them.

The fire blanket also remained intact on top of the fridge opposite the inferno. My scented candles had not faired so well, however, and had to be scraped from the top of the hob some hours later.

I think on reflection, you're more dangerous than I am. In the kitchen and out of it.

I can imagine you after the fire that burns your house down:

'Good news everyone, the fireman says the fire blanket is intact'!!

Thank god I am not the only one!!

I have so far managed to set fire to endless pieces of tin foil, pizzas and endless toast under the grill.

The hob is my worst disaster area though, I have set fire to (with full smoke and flames) a piece of chicken, boiled peas and most recently a boiled egg.
