These might be useful for bondage in chains situations, safe in the knowledge that if the worst came to it, the fire brigade could get you out. Also they are an unlimited source of reliable keyed alike padlocks.

Some of these locks don't have the same key - the tumbler pins are split; they have an individual key, and a different master key. Some office 'Yale' type locks work like this, only with 3 way splits so they can have individual, group master and grand master keys. The ones referenced are low security, more for 'anti-tamper' uses, and as you say, they are keyed alike. A 'suite' of locks system might be good for some of the chastity key holders.

And they happily will, with a big smile on their faces.

I once turned up at my local firestation at 4am, so they could cut myself and a girl free from a pair of handcuffs that I'd lost the key to.

Bear in mind that the term 'keyed alike' is sometimes used in different ways.

In some cases, it means that you buy a set of 4 padlocks and the key from one will fit all the others, but if you subsequently buy a similar set of padlocks, the keys from one set will not operate the other, but will of course operate all the padlocks from that set.

The ones to get are keyed alike in the sense that you can buy more padlocks next year with the same key number and the key from one padlock will fit every padlock, irrespective of when you bought it.

Personally I favour proper keyed alike padlocks from a specialist supplier because I can get extra ones at any time in the future and only ever need the one key with me. There is none of that fumbling to work out which key fits which lock.

I feel that previous posters may, by their posts, have made my post on fire brigade padlocks less clear.

Fire brigade padlocks are very simple inside, they are not pin tumbler type locks just two-lever type locks and they all take the same key, the length and breadth of the country.

(Just to confuse slightly actually there are three FB type padlocks FB1, FB11 and FB14, so there are actually 3 different keys. The most common by far is FB1. But if you buy an FB1 padlock anywhere, at any time it will take an FB1 key.)

I was recommending them because they are:

Cheap, circa £5.00, less if you buy in bulk

Robust

Reliable, they are designed not to jam.

All keyed alike.

What more could you want?

ETA new lower price!

I've been using a set of Cuff Lock padlocks from Handcuff Warehouse, which take standard handcuff keys, but they don't export the locks. I'd not thought of using Fire Brigade padlocks, but that's a great idea.

Thanks :)

Thanks I've been looking for a new lock for hubby's chastity device. Want something secure but something that looks a bit prettier - just an aesthetic thing, nice to see him locked up and in pretty panties.

The cheapest Fire Brigade padlocks I can find are Lockshop-Warehouse

They are OK for static situations: chains, cages and the like, but they are a bit bulky to wear discreetly .

Edited to add: Don't forget to buy keys, they come separately.
