I was shocked and saddened by this news :(

Andy was such a lovely, cheerful and helpful man who made top quality leather items - I bought my current cuff set from him which I love :)

My condolences to his family and friends

I am heartbroken to hear of Andy's passing today. One of the most cheerful, enthusiastic and helpful guys I have ever known. I will miss his advice, ideas and products he made me for my own work and his effervescent ways and friendship.

Rest in peace, Andy and if you bump into my lot up there, they'll appreciate your presence as much as I have..xxxx

My heartfelt condolences and love to his family at this time.

Very sad news indeed. Thoughts are with his Family. RIP Andy.

If I can get through a day without upsetting anyone or anyone upsetting me, then that's a good day.

Its still hard to believe he has gone, there is a huge hole in the scene that no one can ever fill. For us the BBB will never be the same. His whit and sense of humour will be missed. We are both going to miss you

Greetings,

Please to pass our deepest condolences to his wife and family.

Andy will be much missed amongst the traders of this community; his bright and cheery smile has brightened many a dull morning for us. He was always the level headed optimist and the first to lend a hand to any deserving cause.

We first met him upstairs at the BBB around the beginning of 02, where he had a slightly more modest trading space than of recent. It took but a moment to realise that he was a little different to the many, with a concern for quality and fine detail taking huge precedence over profit. His goods were always amongst the best in the world, with many being unique to his manufacture, and we are most fortunate to have a good few examples of his crafting within our own humble collection.

Skilled artisans and true gentlemen are but few and far between on the market floor, and Andy was most certainly the both and then some. He has left vacant a very big pair of boots, and I very much doubt that many have either the skills, or the good conduct to fill them.

Best regards, DF's

I will always remember your smile every month at LAM first thing in the morning. You were truly a fab guy and I will miss seeing you and your very large collection of goodies every month. I will definitely cherish my collar and my cuffs that you made even more than i already do. You were a really great man and we will all miss you. x

We were totally shocked to hear about Andy - such a sad loss. He was a really lovely guy, very helpful and always cheerful and very generous. He always ended up spending a fortune with us when we had our New Year tombolas at BBB. It makes you appreciate what you have a lot more when things like this happen. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family. We will miss his friendly face at BBB.
