Talcum powder applied on a damp towel. No idea why it works, but it does for me lol

If it's a silicone based polish then acetone should get it off.
Nail varnish remover should work. @MediFet Medical Play group

CAUTION ,acetone, or any other solvent based cleaner may affect the finish of the laminate flooring , be very carefull not to solve one problem and end up with another !

I would think some sort of cold degreaser like gunk would work ...but try in an inconspicuous area first or an off cut www.edgeplay.co.uk www.dswhips.co.uk www.thehitachimagicwand.co.uk

Silicon Is a bitch to get off – and any solvent would probably take the original seal of the floor too (though you can re-wax afterwards) It may sound like a crazy idea – but I agree - try talcum powder to reduce the slip, and simply let it go away in its own time (simple, non-toxic, and won't hurt the floor) Ever wondered who the devil comes to for ideas ? Ordinary washing up liquid, reasonably concentrated, silicon will come off with a good detergent. The ice rink effect does wear off eventually but I will admit it's a death trap until then, particularly as I always seem to step on the slippery bits.
