I was going to put lots of clever, thought out things like the moment a thought passes the nadir of one's spirituality and metamorphoses into a waft of... Then I thought nah - Bacon. Bacon is Awesome. Regards, Maz. Enjoyer of Niche Pleasures.

Engineers' Blue (the stuff for marking out on metal, smells of alcohol). The faint but unmistakeable sweet tang of Nitrous Oxide (and the hissing sound too).

I'me with Sheila on the toolroom smell as I call it, perhaps add a faint tinge of ground metal and arc welding - like creation in progress. A good woodwork shop is similar, when working at a Luthier's last month it smelled great. The smell of brand new high end test equipment as you open the box, You don't get the same with computer bits sadly. but opening something like a Tektronix scope is a very interesting smell. On the more conventional subject of classic scents, I love the smell of both Guerlain's "Mitsouko", and Dior's "Dolce Vita", though interestingly, because they are old fashioned, skin interactive scents, only on particular people; perhaps it may be the association as well, but they don't quite smell the same on anybody else.

Anything food related (as long as it doesn't smell farty). Master when he's just got out of the shower. Old books, nice perfumes, my dog but not when he's wet post swim It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice

The smell which greets me when I open the door of Liberation in Covent Garden is gorgeous, I love it. High heels the morning after a night of dancing The gusset of lycra catsuit or tights after a good work-out, so long as they wearing has gone commando Coffee cake (oh, how I miss CCK) The inside of a brand new car, especially if it has a leather interior Fresh bedding after being dried on a line Pissy / cummy panties Roast beef Brand new jeans First day of the football season and the limament on a player's legs The incoming tide of the sea, especially if it's rough Edited 11 Aug 11, 12:30 PM by Sadsack |
