Has anyone heard anything about the surgeon based at Leicester recently? I'm not naming him because I don't particularly want this thread coming up in a Google search. I have heard of someone who was due to have her pre-surgery appointment with him this week. She was called 4 days before the appointment and told that it was cancelled as the surgeon is no longer working for the NHS. She now has no clue what will happen next, and her clinic doesn't either, as they got the news that same day. Has anyone heard anything? Please let me know on here or in a memo if that's more comfortable.

5 Aug 11, 7:29 AM SlutLesley UK(G), 4 yrs	I hadn't heard about this, though If it is who think it is (TT?) it may not be a bad thing. I've heard of a few girls have problems with him. I personally went with Mr Thomas, who seemed to be the best at the time I was deciding on a surgeon. 8 Aug 11, 9:02 PM NickiB UK(BS), 3 yrs	From another forum, 01-02 Aug - Its been confirmed that Mr T** T**** is no longer doing Gender Reassignment surgery, so the girls from the North East and elsewhere that would have attended Leicester will most probably be reffered to Charing Cross or Brighton. I've just spoken to Dr T's NHS secretary as Margaret is away until tomorrow but have confirmation that although DR T is not retiring he has stopped GRS work both privately and on the NHS, in addition Dr Khoosal the psych is also retiring... I have been told that a surgeon had been trained, but that he'd decided to practise in Sweden not the UK, I don't unfortunately know his name East Midland Specialist Commissioning Board, first to react, yet to to be made official but patients already being told to expect to be going to Brighton for surgery with Dr Thomas Nicki
9 Aug 11, 12:43 AM Liefsome UK(S), 3 yrs	From visiting the Sheffield Clinic today: TT isn't doing surgery's any more because the NHS has taken away his ward and its sister. Since he feels completely professionally unsupported he's stopped working for them. IC's Trans Related Group IC's Sock Admirers Group Did you stop to think... and forget to start again?
9 Aug 11, 12:11 PM Mistress_Maud 3 yrs	Another friend mentioned that leeds may be sending people to PT in sussex privately as it's cheaper for them than sending them to JB at CHX on the NHS.
