Has anyone heard anything about the surgeon based at Leicester recently? I'm not naming him because I don't particularly want this thread coming up in a Google search. I have heard of someone who was due to have her pre-surgery appointment with him this week. She was called 4 days before the appointment and told that it was cancelled as the surgeon is no longer working for the NHS. She now has no clue what will happen next, and her clinic doesn't either, as they got the news that same day. Has anyone heard anything? Please let me know on here or in a memo if that's more comfortable.

I've read a similar rumour on another forum, but nothing concrete.

I hadn't heard about this, though If it is who think it is (TT?) it may not be a bad thing. I've heard of a few girls have problems with him. I personally went with Mr Thomas, who seemed to be the best at the time I was deciding on a surgeon. This site may be worth a look, as there are some photos of results, and some personal experiences. http://www.annelawrence.com/srsindex.html#srsuk Hope this helps. L x

Thanks for the replies so far. I'm still interested in any news/info, especially if any of the clinics have announced alternative plans for their patients. It's only a weblog

Patients are being referred down to JB in london. That's what an acquaintance from sheffield is telling me at least. Edited 8 Aug 11, 5:13 PM by Mistress_Maud

From visiting the Sheffield Clinic today: TT isn't doing surgery's any more because the NHS has taken away his ward and its sister. Since he feels completely professionally unsupported he's stopped working for them. IC's Trans Related Group

Another friend mentioned that leeds may be sending people to PT in sussex privately as it's cheaper for them than sending them to JB at CHX on the NHS.
