I had an HCH piercing done a couple of weeks ago for Sir ![]()
I've already had to change the ring as it was pierced with a coloured ring that I didn't get on with. It's healing well now though, all pain has gone so I'm starting to think more long term about the jewellery I will wear.
Is it practical to wear a ring with something hanging from it? I don't want to risk catching it and ripping it out but I quite like the idea of having jewellery in that is a bit more obvious.
TIA

Generally other 'high street' jewellery is not a good idea for piercings, the metals used regularly contain nickel and zinc, and can cause problems, so I wouldn't recommend earrings. Because everyone is different, what you find works for you may not work for other people, but you can experiment with different diameters of rings (ball closure type with different sized balls, or smooth segment type which rotate ), and with straight or curved barbells with different balls on the ends..and use different metals to get different weights... SSS, titanium.. niobium..proper 'made for the piercing' gold..
Dangling things in everyday life may catch at awkward moments.. changing gear in the car or picking up the shopping in the supermarket.. the last thing you need is to be fiddling because you're caught up 'More than just a few quick flashes!' |
