One of the things in this world which is guaranteed to send me into an absolute boiling rage is when the fitted sheet comes off my bed at the corners.

Take this evening, fr'instance. I leapt balletically onto the bed and swiped a fly off the ceiling with the swat. Honest to God, Nureyev himself could not have made a finer performance out of slaying a fly. I was flushed with triumph - the thrill of the kill and executed so gracefully too.

Then I saw it. The SHEET. It was OFF.At.The.Corner. Because I had bounced on it.

So I went to youtube and played this because this is what the sheet off at the corner could quite easily drive me to.

That tune is one of THE best records ever. Not the best band in the world, but they got it right that time. Takes me back more years than I care to think about.

I really must take the O/P to task over her bloody-minded certainty the said sheet and its corner were to blame. Apart from anything else, we only have her side of the story, none of us were flies on the wall which is perhaps just as well. In the true spirit of pacifist fence-sitting I must point out that it is equally possible the problem was caused by the mattress shifting in a convex-like motion. Unless the O/P has absolute proof that she can demonstrate on here then she really ought to be more responsible about making such statements about what could be perfectly innocent bedding.

And another thing. I hate the sheet coming off so much I've even made people get out of bed and fix it before I'll have sex with them. It's only fair.
