Perhaps this raises an interesting point. Are some societies more prone to having males take the submissive role and females take the dominant ? In societies where the female is always subserviant to the male is there a demand for dominant females ? What about Islamic cultures - are there are no males who are submissive to women, and if there are where and how do they find a dominant female ? There seems to be a very low representation of asian men and women on IC, lower than there is in the UK as a whole. I have Hindu neighbours and the father is totally dominant to his wife and daughters. Perhaps the changing role of women in western culture has 'enabled' more women to assert themselves, whereas in eastern cultures women are still suppressed and those with dominant tendencies have no opportunity of expressing them outwardly as it is culturally unacceptable.

Because of the history of non consensual slavery the whole thing carries an awful lot of baggage.Consensual BDSM is far removed from it,but history casts a long shadow.

I have personally never played with a sub (Or a Domme in my younger days)of a different race from myself.I have to say that for me it wouldn't be a consideration either one way or the other.

It seems to be just about every traditional society on the planet where men abuse women or there is institutionalised sexism.

I suspect it has always been easier to be a submissive girl than a submissive man as culturally it fits in.

I am a white male and natural submissive to all female who I see as my superiors. I am also submissive to black people who I see as superior (maybe it's a manic debt thing) I highly recommend Madame Caramel and her Club Black Whip. Who have been instrumental in my training and keeping me in my place. And to whom I owe a massive debt .
