I have a desire to get my boring white mercedes van painted in a one-off design...something fun,that would make it instantly recognizable as mine.I really dont know how to go about finding someone to do it..I cant afford to pay much so i thought maybe an art student keen to show off their work mite be the way to go.Has anyone got any suggestions where i should advertise or who to contact?Im hopeless at art myself and am really open to whatever design someone fancied to do...I intend to keep the van ad-infinitum so lowering the re-sale value isnt an issue.

Troll your local yellow pages or Thomson local, find all the localish spray painters and contact them. Offer your van as a blank canvas for their staff to practise, they always have staff in training normally. Alternatively you can buy vehicle stickers there's a massive range from small to large, flames like a roadster, balloons, bubbles, Gothic styles the list is endless and you could add when your finances suit. Rustoleum is a product you can roller brush on, Ive used it on several campers it dries smooth and a simple buff and its all shiny, protects against rust and can be painted straight over any existing rust spots 2.5l tin will do two coats of a standard sized van easily.
