Was pretty damn awesome. Was great seeing the streets of the Northern Quarter of Manchester on the big screen, dressed up to look like 1940's America.
The 3D aspect of the film? Not so great. I mean, it might be for everyone who doesn't have to wear normal glasses as well, but for those of us who do, it's a pretty uncomfortable experience. Firstly, my eyes couldn't focus properly and then my nose found wearing two pairs of glasses pretty uncomfortable. And then my head started telling me it was confused by the mixed signals.
Ah well. The girl was pretty. I liked looking at her. It made everything better. Oh and the rest of the cast were pretty cool, too.
And yes, I really did go to the cinema dressed as Black Widow. Because I'm just that sad.
But at least I'm sexy sad.

the NQ was also used in the Jude Law remake of "Alfie" - but that's still no excuse to watch that piece of tat! Captain America - good superhero, shame his war calendar was a couple of years behind events... *innocent whistle*

I had the fortune of a free screening on Thursday - it lived up to (not high) expectations! I won't mention the Union Flag which was upside down... oh, I appear to have mentioned it.

Just got back from watching it. A bit corny, but I suppose that goes with the territory. A few nice bits of humour.
All in all not too bad. Glad I saw it. The pesky Planet of the Apes film is just lodged in my brain. For some reason I'm really looking forward to it, Buttscratcher?!

It can't be as bad as the earlier version of Captain America - you know the one with the shadow of the camera crane down the road in the shot with the atmospheric light from the sunset... :D

It's funny because the Rise of The Planet of The Apes trailer got stuck in my head, too. Doesn't look too bad at all. |
